Provost Hosts Student Success Town Hall

Cal State East Bay Provost Edward Inch hosted a campus wide town hall on student success. Students, faculty and staff attended the meeting where Dr. Inch discussed a wide variety of issues related to student graduation rates and their paths to graduation.

Students asked questions and expressed concerns on several topics. The Concord Campus town hall was one of four student success forums held at the University.

The inaugural Town Hall comments were captured and will be used as part of student success initiative at Concord.  Plans include increasing student counseling support, expanding career services and opening a dedicated student success drop-in center at the campus.

Dr. Inch, who joined Cal State East Bay as Provost in August, 2016, is a professor of Speech Communication and previously served as the Dean of the College and Letters at California State University, Sacramento.
